This museum showing the life sciences and earth welcomes nearly 70 million specimens and over a million books and manuscripts. 300 scientists and librarians working there and study there zoology, botany, entomology, Paleontology and minerals.
In the vast Central Hall , from your first steps, you can admire the stunning giant skeleton of a Diplodocus. Admire the columns and walls abound where different animals: birds, monkeys, etc.. Anecdote, this impressive hall has been used in several movies.
The museum is divided into several areas:
- The Blue Zone: The Age of the dinosaurs, large mammals and the human body.
- The Green Zone: Ecology, meteorites, the statue of Darwin.
- The Red Zone: Natural disasters (volcanoes, etc.)..
- The Orange Zone: The new Darwin Centre and wildlife.
