What is God's will for my vacation?
Today, for the latter MP3 before the summer holidays, it was rightly asked: what is the will of God for my vacation? Not as cool
question, right? After all, it's the holidays, God can leave us a little quiet, no? ! I do not know about you, but I find it quite telling that one of the first things we told the holidays approaching it is: whew! I can finally think about myself and not take my head ! So me for the holidays, the Bible is in the closet, it beach, bikini, and fiesta galore! Ibiza or Saint Tropez no matter: they are both "heaven on earth"
Yeah ... except that the problem is that I can not see myself returning to this kind of holiday, and say to God: voila c ' is good, I'm back! not accountable! it's almost as if they would leave on vacation without her husband, he was mistaken, and it came back with a big smile saying hello darling, what was good without you, but hey, now I we just went back and resume normal life!
I read in 1 Corinthians 10. 23: Tell you everything is permitted. Yes, but not everything is good. " Paul shows us here that God lets us do a great deal of freedom: we choose our actions, but it also means that we have a responsibility: not in the eyes of other men, but in the eyes of God, which is our only judge. So we can not put God in the closet during the holidays: for God, he does not put us in brackets, and this is our chance: her absolute loyalty.
God Will he judge me on my choice of holiday? Yes. But then, may be should I spend my vacation locked in a monastery to devote all my time to God, as it he sees that I'm a good Christian ...
No, I think that we should not be mistaken for debate ...
Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, "Whether you eat, you drink, whatever you do, do all to the glory of God "What Paul wants to tell us? Simply that God is in everything from everyday life: God is not there anymore, or not less then when I go to work or when I'm on vacation. I'm still dependent on God.
Basically, the question is not: what is the will of God for my vacations, but, simply, what is God's will for me? In Romans
6. 13 I read: "Treat yourself to God as creatures from the dead to life, and put yourself entirely to his service as an instrument of what is right. "For this, we need to take a position: as we had pointed out at the last Daniel MP3, the military battle is half won if we knew the correct position. Similarly, by what we choose to do during the holidays, is already taking place.
The real break, they are not vacations, but God. But the holidays are still, admittedly, a special time, away from the stress of work or examinations. So let us take this time to get fully account of what God is doing and for us. And then, the holidays can be a time to just talk about our faith with people we meet on our vacation spot.
Ultimately, God's will for my holiday, it's nothing special: just cultivate their faith through prayer, word, sharing.
So: will there be a place in your suitcase for this condensed happiness? (Show the Bible)

How about our faith to our friends? - Part 4 How to talk
We address this evening the last part of the answer to the question "how to talk about our faith to our friends?".
I remind you of the 4 pieces of the answer :
1. Not shy!
2. Not politicians!
3. No saviors!
4. Not the foot!
3 months ago, we saw that, yes, we should talk about our faith to our friends. 2 months ago, we saw that we were not beings manipulators who distort the truth, but we had to have real relationships with our friends. Finally, last month, we saw that the success rate was in the hands of God and not ours.
Today, we finish this series with "the foot". And yes, I do not know about you, but I think when people say around you that you believe in God, it is believed that someone died and risen, that everyone is a sinner, well, I hear more often "but how can you believe such nonsense?", or "Christian = idiot" than "wow, me too, I'd love to hear about such love to me, change my life dramatically and turn to God. " Really? Not you? We must not meet the same people so ...
When we talk about our faith, we often encounter opposition. In 2 Corinthians 4, the text we have followed since the beginning of this series, we read: "We are troubled on every side, but not crushed; worried, but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned; killed but not destroyed. We carry with us always in our body the death of Jesus that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our body. "Sexy, no? Suffer like Jesus, it makes you want to everyone. It's not the foot! Well, yet it is actually what is expected when one speaks of him. Sorry, but the world did not really want to hear the message of the Bible. It is a shameful message to him than to recognize they are sinners before God, a confession of weakness. So yes, the opposition, it will be some, and yet now they are nice, they stopped burning Christians, at least France. But as Paul says in our earthly woe, we have an even greater consolation: we live with God in accordance with his will, and we know that we will live with Him for eternity.
I invite you out to compare these two things: a happy land, ephemeral, see unattainable, or heavenly bliss with Him Who created happiness?

our faith to our friends? - 3rd party
We address this evening the third part of the answer to the question "how to talk about our faith to our friends?".
I remind you of the 4 pieces of the answer:

2. Not politicians!
3. No saviors!

2 months ago, we saw that, yes, we should talk about our faith to our friends. Last month, we saw that we were not beings manipulators who distort the truth, but we had to have real relationships with our friends.
Today we'll look at the success rate.
fashion in the media is talking about the traders' bonuses. You did well, and you hit the jackpot las stock options, made you bad results, you can not repay the credit in your villa in St. Tropez.
So if we have bad results, so when we speak of God around us, people do not believe ... What should the success rate be a good Christian? 90%? 10%? God will reject us there?
We continue our reading of 2 Corinthians 4 where Paul says "Indeed, God has ordained that the light shine out of darkness also made his light shine in our heart to make light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the person of [Jesus] Christ. We have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing power is from God, not us. ".
It is God who came to us, he has transformed us. We're not the saviors! We are but earthen vessels. If you want to translate into words today we transport the glory of God in IKEA vases. As
is God who saves is also God who bears the responsibility for which he saves and he does not save. There is no question of success rate on our part. Our
taff us is to talk to our friends, and pray for them. The rest is the taff of God. There are no bonuses for those who have passed their conversion goals, since there are no goals! We are not the saviors!
There is therefore no guilt at having so we talk about God to our friends and there are no entries ... and this is one more reason to not be afraid to do.
