Trip Mines - RIO

friends to continue my momentum of the wonderful sights of Brazil, I suggest you find pictures of Mariana (Mary Anne) and Congonhas, two cities of the state of Minas Gerais who are full of young and old treasures . A

Mariana: Mariana
is the first capital of Minas, ella aceuilli the first bishopric and the first "camara" which can be likened to a current town hall, the seat of temporal and spiritual power of yesteryear, is now mariana more than a tourist town that is well worth a visit!

Camara de Mariana, in the most Portuguese style.

Congonhas:
Located a little further west congonhas has a basilica with the latest works of Aleijadinho. Who is Aleijadinho? It is simply the greatest sculptor of Brazil and one of the most famous of the Baroque world. Son of a slave and a Portuguese, Antonio Francisco Lisboa said the "Aleijadinho" (the little injured) because he had leprosy. At the end of his life his tools were directly attached to his stumps, and he worked tirelessly to build works of art for the greater glory of God. At Congonhas
you can admire the prophets, and scenes of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Trip Mines - Ouro Preto Visit

Well, I'll try not to put too blah ... you may remember the pud of Paris Match at the time: " the weight of words, the shock of photos " I'll try to do the same!

Currently, I'll show you some pictures of my stay in Minas Gerais! Just
to locate, Minas is a region the size of France which was discovered a lot of gold and diamonds, which have enabled Brazil to become a colony interresting for Portugal and grow from the architectural, social, economic and religious.

first capital of Minas: Mariana, Ouro Preto, then it was finally and Belo Horizonte (currently).

We started therefore to 5 of Sao Paulo in a rental car for Ouro Preto ... we share in early afternoon because of landlord problems and therefore we arrive at 23:00 at hotel in Ouro Preto, between time, there was cabbage at least 6 times, we ended up on roads worthy of Indiana Jones, but we arrived safely. The next visit of the city and its environs:
Magnificent.
Gold has allowed the construction of churches all more beautiful than the others! Baroque art in all its splendor! I imagined already run a bach cantante inside. The city has remained unchanged, well preserved, people friendly and hospitable! not too many tourists (it's cool).

Here are some photos:

Here is a panoramic view of the City ...

Temporary 2010 Paper License Texas

des chutes d'iguazu ... Cataract d'Amour!

me some probably already heard uttered those two magic words: Cataract LOVE! And then the first question one might ask is: what is a cataract?
Certainly it is a disease of the retina but that's not it!
A cataract is also a waterfall, a stream, nay ... a gigantic waterfall of something! So you can have a cataract of water, a cataract Thanksgiving (as in the Old Testament) cataract mayonnaise, cataract problems ... brief it comes to infinity!
I come to talk about cataracts of water we have here in Brazil. For those who saw the movie with De Niro Mission (which I recommend by the way), it falls at the beginning you see the movie! Awesome!
So I went this time with Fanja "Fonzy" and Mary Jo "sid" who came to spend a few days in Brazil. In the 16 hours since going to make 1000 km to reach the Brazilian border-Argentino-Paraguaya! After you find the cheapest hotel on the corner (20 reais per person = 7 €) we drove to the falls at Brazilian side to enjoy the spectacle offered us the nature, I leave you to contemplate:

Well there was during the bus trip ... woke up the morning in the middle of nowhere ...

While others amused themselves by top models ...

So it's a little smart, he has piqued our snack bar by noon pinball everyone! No, but you've already seen this stuff anywhere? I even know what it's called this thing, but I know he likes french fries!

Small waterfalls for us to APET.

"Be praised, my Lord, through Sister Water. which is very useful, humble, precious and pure ."
Saint Francis of Assisi

Impressive eh?

Me Fanja "Fonzy" and Mary Jo "Sid" (as in the ice age)

Hold still these strange creatures we meet in Brazil ...

Falls Brazilian side.

Our entry in Paraguay in the evening ... One had the impression of entering a drug cartel: not a single tourist, everyone looked at us strangely, all the stores closed. Paraguay does not really make us dream, rather scary ...

... we landed in a small "lanchonete" cheesburger to eat, and this guy next to us had wads of tickets filled his small plastic bag, we said that it reported traffics not bad, but we say in French is not to annoy the gentleman

We departed to Brazil through the enchanting streets of Ciudad del Este. As you can see from this wonderful photo!

The "marco" tri-border!

Here was the next day on the Argentina side

were even treated to a rainbow, symbol of the Alliance

Keep a bow in heaven!

CATARACTS CATARACTS of LOVE!

Well there we were happy!

So there must be an explanation: the guy sitting in the photograph was on the bus back with us. At right is a police officer. Bravo you guessed it, he has handcuffed! He was carrying drugs ... in a baby seat. Inevitably when you do not have to go with the baby, it generates suspicion.

You can zoom the picture and see what was in the seat baby, awesome! Long live Brazil.

Voyage to Curitiba

Dear friends, here are some photos of Curitiba and the surrounding area as I did with some friends of FGV early September!

Curitiba is the capital of Parana Étrat of the southern state of Sao Paulo, was founded in 1654 . She was elevated to municipality March 29, 1663 (the date chosen by the city for the foundation), as the Vila de Nossa Senhora da Luz dos Pinhais (Town of Our Lady of Light Pine ). Its current name was chosen in 1721 during the visit of Raphael Pardinho Pires, a Official of the colonial administration. It comes from the Tupi word Curii Tiba, meaning the city of pines , referring to the many hills surrounding pines.

City rather European immigration, there are communities of German, Polish, South Slavic but also Japanese.

We left at 9 and got back all safe! It was not easy because we went by car, and we must see how the Brazilians lead: MAJOR SICK! The concept of priority or right of solid line is proficient abstract, I do not mean the motorway or overtaking is frequent 3.5 t to see cars easily double by the left ... or the right! When there are emergency lane they quickly become a passing lane. I find that Italian immigration has greatly influenced the manner of driving of our Brazilian friends.

Little Photo Shoot:

A View of Morretes, colonial town Curiiba linking to the coast, is not it lovely?

My fellow adventurers from left to right: Benoit "Spacekoi ( France), Dragan "Dragus (Serbia), Fanja" Fonzy "(France), Agnieszka" Agamishou "(Poland), Wojtek" the plumber "(Poland), ME, and Angela Catalina colombian girls" (Colombia).

Oh baby!

An example of the metro area in Curitiba: washers that you see are the areas of boat bus! very effective, roads are reserved for buses.
