After finding an apartment after two nights at the hotel, I moved to Sao Paulo last!
is a city or rather a metropolis with very western edge! Shops, cars, people, you could see the same thing in Paris or New York (ok I've never been to New York ... it was just to show off).
Sao Paulo is the economic capital of Brazil with roughly 30 million inhabitants, 20% of GDP.
